Rue
Product Info
Rue should NEVER be ingested because it is considered unsafe by some people. It is a hardy evergreen that grows well in containers. The blue-green leaves have small rounded lobes. It grows 24" tall, requiring a well-drained soil, and flowers June to August. It is used as an ornamental and conversational plant.
Rue can irritate skin so be carefule around it. The leaves can be seeped in hot water, strained and then used in a sprayer to repel plant-eating insects. Harvest several times a season before the flowers form on the plants. Dry in a shady area. Dried seed heads are used in floral arrangements.
